The Malappuram Service Co-operative bank Ltd No F 1829 has registered as a Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank on 21-03-1962 under Kerala Co-operative Society Act 1969 and started functioning on 04-06-1962.Area of operation of the bank is Malappuram Municipal Area with its head office situated at Malappuram the head quarters of Malappuram District.

The bank has upgraded as a Class 1 Bank with effect from 01-01-1984 and as a special grade bank from 01-02-1997.

Now the bank is having six branches including one evening branch and one 12 Hours Branch. The bank implements all the available modern banking facilities to help its customers at the maximum.
